We take green issues very seriously and make every effort to play our part.

• We recycle whenever possible
• All cardboard is recycled (in partnership with Yorwaste)
• All vegetable matter from fruitstall is composted
• We have a reed bed sewerage system on site for all market visitors
• We have planted a forest as an integral part of our carbon offset project
• We manufacture charcoal from the market forest for sale at the market
